These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of periodictable.bid (the "Site"), operated by Coheron Lab ("we", "us"). By claiming an element, taking an element, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What the Site is

The Site displays 118 tiles corresponding to the chemical elements. Paying to claim a tile buys a temporary advertising placement: your brand name, logo and a link to your website are displayed on that tile, and visitors who click the tile are directed to your website.

A placement is not an asset, security, investment, token, or property right of any kind. You acquire no ownership of any element, no intellectual property, and no expectation of profit.

2. How placements change hands

Unclaimed elements may be claimed at the listed floor price.
Any other user may take a claimed element by paying 1.1× the price the current holder paid. This happens automatically on payment; the previous holder is not consulted.
You should expect to lose your placement at any time, without notice.

3. Prohibited content

You must not submit, link to, or promote any of the following through a placement. This list is not exhaustive and we interpret it broadly:

Adult or sexually explicit content of any kind, including pornography, escort or sexual services, nudity presented for sexual gratification, and sites whose primary purpose is adult content.
Content that links to, promotes, facilitates or advertises illegal websites, services or activities, under the laws of any jurisdiction in which the Site or its users operate. This includes but is not limited to: illegal drugs or controlled substances; weapons or explosives; counterfeit, pirated or stolen goods; hacking, malware, phishing or credential-theft tools or services; stolen data; fraudulent financial schemes; money laundering; unlicensed gambling; human trafficking or exploitation; and child sexual abuse material.
Content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence or discrimination against any individual or group.
Malware, deceptive redirects, cloaking, or any link whose destination differs materially from what a reasonable visitor would expect.
Content that infringes another party's intellectual property, or that impersonates any person, brand or organisation you are not authorised to represent.
Content that is deceptive, fraudulent, or intended to mislead visitors.

4. Enforcement

We may remove any placement that breaches these Terms, or that we reasonably believe breaches them, immediately and without notice or refund. We may also refuse service, block payment methods, and report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities and to our payment provider.

We review placements on a best-effort basis and do not endorse any advertiser. Links point to third-party websites we do not control. To report a placement, email contact@coheronlab.com and we will review it promptly.

5. Payment, no refunds

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Prices are quoted in USD; your card may be charged in your local currency at the processor's rate.

All payments are final and non-refundable. In particular, no refund is due when your placement is taken by another user — that is the stated mechanic of the Site, not a fault. We may issue a refund at our sole discretion, for example where a payment could not be fulfilled for technical reasons.

6. Availability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, a minimum number of clicks or impressions, any level of traffic, or that a placement will remain visible for any period. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding thirty days.

7. Your responsibilities

You confirm you are authorised to advertise the brand and URL you submit.
You are responsible for the content and legality of the destination website.
You must be of legal age to enter a contract in your jurisdiction.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
